Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates Vaishvik Bhartiya Vaigyanik Summit

New Delhi: On October 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Vaishvik Bhartiya Vaigyanik (VAIBHAV) Summit through video conferencing.

During the conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked scientists who offered their suggestions and ideas today. He also spoke about the indigenous vaccine production. He said, in 2014, four new vaccines were introduced in our immunisation programme.

India’s clarion call of an Atmanirbhar Bharat, includes a vision of global welfare. In order to realise this dream, I invite you all and seek your support, said the Prime Minister.

PM Modi also thanked scientists saying that they have brilliantly covered many subjects.

Over 3,000 overseas Indian-origin academics and scientists from 55 nations and over 10,000 resident academics and scientists took part in the summit. The summit was organised by around 200 academic institutes and S&T departments, led by the principal scientific advisor.
