Kerala temple holds special prayers for Jayalalithaa

Special prayers were today held at a temple here for the long life and good health of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who is undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai.


A special pooja was held at the Kaalimalar Kavuamma temple at Kakathoorthy here in which about 3,000 people from Tamil Nadu participated.
 

A framed photograph of 68-year-old Jayalalithaa was kept and prayers performed by chief priest P R Sivadasan for her speedy recovery.
 

Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration. "We all want the CM (Jayalalithaa) to recover and get well soon," Sivadasan said.

 

'Annadanam' in the name of the Jayalalthaa was also held at the temple.
