In another historic move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked all BJP MPs and MLAs to submit their bank account details to track all the transaction done through bank from November 8 to December 31. The MPs and MLAs have to submit the details for BJP president Amit Shah by January 1, 2017.
This move has come after the opposition claimed that BJP party members were already aware of the sudden demonetisation announcement made on November 8 and that the BJP MPs and MLAs got the chance to park their unaccounted cash.
It is not clear whether the bank details will be made public or not by BJP. However, some ministers claimed that there is a possibility that the Modi government might make the details public, reported the Economic Times.
PM Modi made this announcement at the parliamentary party meet. However, the PM did not ask for the bank account details of their spouses and immediate kin of BJP MPs and MLAs.
