Amit Shah strongly criticized the attack on JP Nadda’s convoy at Diamond Harbor on December 10. He said, “The Trinamool Congress workers at Diamond Harbour attacked the convoy of our national president JP Nadda a few days ago. We condemn this act. We believe that everyone has a right to raise their voice in democracy and take it to the people.”

Shah further said: "Corruption is at its worst in West Bengal. TMC used its workers to divert the funds of the cyclone provided by the centre and engage in corruption. The food materials sent for the poor during the COVID-19 crisis was also not utilised by the state government. The entire responsibility of this is of the state government. Why is the state government afraid of a CAG audit?"
