Pakistan restrains commercial flights on its sky

Last week, commercial flights were banned from flying below 29,000 feet over Karachi Manoeuvres and exercises by the Pakistan’s air force were the reasons cited 

Targeting India over the surgical attacks in reaction to the Uri attack, Pakistan in a recent statement has said that commercial flights would have to fly over 33,000 feet above the sea level in the Pakistan skies.

Last week, in a statement, Pakistan said that commercial aircrafts can only fly 29,000 feet above the sea level in Karachi. Following the previous commercial flying limitations, which was supposed to last for a week, the newly-imposed restriction over Lahore is expected to last for a month.

A senior international route planner and commander of an Indian airline said that the move was just a result of the routine manoeuvres and exercises of the Pakistan’s air force, reported Times of India.

An NDTV report mentioned that the restriction would imply on all the commercial flights until October 31 on most of Pakistan's airspace.
