A man ended up tying the knot with two women at the same time. The wedding that took place according to Hindu customs, witnessed the bridegroom taking vows to spend his life with two wives

Bhopal: A man in Madhya Pradesh married two women at the same time in a wedding ceremony. According to reports, both the women were happy.

The incident was reported from Betul in Madhya Pradesh and the man was identified as Sandeep Uike.

The marriage ceremony in a tribal community from Keria village under Ghodadongri block, about 40 km from Betul district headquarters, took place on July 8 in the presence of villagers.

Out of two women, one is from Hoshangabad district and another from Koyalari village of Ghodadongri block. Uike came in contact with the woman from Hoshangabad when he was studying in Bhopal and was having an affair. However, the family selected Koyalari village woman.

The matter reached the village panchayat. And when all the families agreed to conduct the marriage as both the women agreed to live peacefully with him.

But according to district administration, for any function, it is necessary to obtain a permission owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Since in this case it was not done, now an investigation is underway.
