A shocking incident has come to light from Sagar in Madhya Pradesh, where a young couple was found dead at their home on Wednesday night. The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Rajendra, also known as Golu, and his 21-year-old wife, Kajal Patel.
According to police, both were found hanging from a ceiling fan inside their room. What made the incident even more disturbing was that the couple were dressed in wedding clothes, reported India Today.
Kajal was wearing a bridal sari, while Rajendra was dressed in a groom’s suit.

Family members said the couple had dinner together as usual on the night of the incident. They later went to their room but did not come out for a long time. This raised concern, and Rajendra’s father went to check on them. When he opened the door, he found both hanging, after which the police were informed.
Police teams reached the spot soon after receiving the information. They carried out a detailed inspection of the scene and prepared a panchnama.
The bodies were then sent to the Community Health Centre in Rahli for post-mortem examination.

During the medical examination, doctors revealed that Kajal was around one-and-a-half months pregnant.
Duty doctor Dr Prashant Hajari said initial findings suggest death due to hanging. However, the exact cause will be confirmed only after the final post-mortem report.
Police officials confirmed that no suicide note was found at the scene.
Station in-charge Sunil Sharma told India Today that the case is being treated as a suspected suicide. Statements from family members and relatives will be recorded after the last rites.
Additional SP Lokesh Sinha also said no external injuries were found on the bodies.
According to the family, the couple had a love marriage around three years ago and were living a normal and happy life. They said there were no known disputes or tensions between them.
Police said they are examining all possible reasons to understand what led the couple to take such an extreme step.
