Malappuram: A woman from Kerala has died in a terrible car crash on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The victim has been identified as Basheera, 42, from Veliyankode in Ponnani. The accident happened in Firozpur, Haryana, while she was on a road trip to Kashmir with her family. The car they were travelling in, an Innova, rammed into the back of a truck that was ahead of them. The family had left their hometown in Kerala just three days ago.

Basheera's husband, Abdul Jaleel, 49, and their sons, Lasim Abu Backer and Mohammed Shariq, were also injured in the crash. Abdul Jaleel's condition is reported to be serious. Basheera was on a tour of North Indian states with her husband, who had just returned from Sharjah a few days ago.

Police said their son, Abu Backer, was driving the car when the accident occurred. They suspect that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, leading to the crash.
