Karnataka MLA MP Renukacharya tests positive for COVID-19

Honnali MLA MP Renukacharya on Tuesday said he has tested positive for COVID-19. The MLA has tested positive after being tested for the 10th time.

Bengaluru: Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa’s political secretary and MLA MP Renukacharya on Tuesday said he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The MLA from the Honnali constituency said he underwent a test as some changes were observed in his health conditions on Tuesday morning, and the report showed him to be positive.

The MLA has also stated that he tested positive after being tested for COVID-19 for the 10th time.

MP Renukacharya made the announcement on his Twitter handle appealing to all those who had encountered him in the last four-five days to get tested.

 

Chief minister BS Yediyurappa tweeted wishes for Renukacharya’s speedy recovery.

Several ministers and MLAs in Karnataka including deputy chief minister Govind Karjol, law minister JC Madhuswamy, senior Congress MLAs HK Patil and Dinesh Gundu Rao are among those who have tested positive for COVID recently.
