
Bengaluru: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday has predicted that rain and thundershowers very likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over interior Karnataka for the next 24 hours.
The IMD rainfall report from Friday, said, “Southwest monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka and weak over Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over interior Karnataka”

The IMD forecast report also added that the cloudy sky will become partly cloudy towards evening or night in Bengaluru for the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, with heavy rain in several parts of North Karnataka from past few days, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa reviewed the situation with deputy commissioners of the affected districts on Friday.
Among the districts that have seen a trail of destruction due to rains and floods include Bidar, Vijayapura, Bagalkote, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Yadgir, and Belagavi.
