
Bengaluru: The BJP had taken an initial lead in both RR Nagar and Shira as counting began in the assembly seats with postal ballots on November 10.

With three rounds of counting being completed, BJP candidate Munirathna is currently leading the RR Nagar bypolls with 16,575 votes.
Munirathna received 6,164 votes in the first round, 11675 votes in the second round and 16,575 votes in the third round of counting, according to the Bengaluru Bruhat Mahanagara Palike (BBMP and the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The votes received by the three leading candidates in the first three rounds were as follows:
1.A) Kusuma H – Congress – 2,915
B) V Krishnamurthy – JD(S) - 136
C) Munirathna – BJP – 6,164
2. A) Kusuma H – Congress – 5,903
B) V Krishnamurthy – JD(S) - 419
C) Munirathna – BJP – 11,675
3. A) Kusuma H – Congress – 8,666
B) V Krishnamurthy – JD(S) - 619
C) Munirathna – BJP – 16,575
