The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is not very happy with the portrayal of its founder M G Ramachandran in the Kangana Ranaut-starring biopic of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Jayalalithaa.

AIADMK leader D Jayakumar, who saw the movie 'Thalaivii' in Chennai, pointed out certain errors in the movie and claimed that some historical facts have not been recorded.

He cited the instance in the film where MGR approaches late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and demands to be made a powerful minister, and when the latter refuses to do so, MGR walks out of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and forms the AIADMK.

Jayakumar claims that scenes, where Jayalalithaa is shown to be in touch with late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, create the impression that was Jayalalithaa was much bigger than MGR.
