Jharkhand: Campaign for fair JPSC-JSSC hiring starts from Soren's village

Student leader Devendra Nath Mahto announced the second phase of the 'JPSC-JSSC Corruption-Free Recruitment Campaign' starting August 24 from Nemra. The yatra will cross all districts to demand a transparent and fair recruitment system in Jharkhand.

The second phase of the "JPSC-JSSC Corruption-Free Recruitment Campaign" will begin from Nemra, the ancestral village of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren in Ramgarh district, on Monday, student leader Devendra Nath Mahto said.

Campaign for Transparent Recruitment

The campaign, aimed at demanding a transparent, fair and corruption-free recruitment system in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), will commence from Lukaiya Tand in Nemra on August 24.

According to Mahto, the "Recruitment System Reform Yatra" will be inaugurated in accordance with Jharkhand's traditional customs and traditions. The launch will include traditional rituals in the presence of senior pahans, the singing of the national anthem to the beats of the madar, paying tribute to prominent leaders and planting a sal sapling.

Mahto said the yatra will seek to build awareness and public support among aspirants and youth across the state on issues of transparency, accountability and fairness in the recruitment system. Starting from Ramgarh, the yatra will pass through districts including Hazaribagh, Chatra, Koderma, Giridih, Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Sahebganj, Pakur, Jamtara, Dhanbad, Bokaro, East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan, West Singhbhum, Khunti, Simdega, Gumla, Latehar, Palamu, Garhwa and Ranchi.

Legal Support and Peaceful Approach

A team of advocates will also accompany the aspirants during the yatra to provide assistance in legal matters related to the recruitment process. Candidates seeking to participate as interveners in relevant legal cases will be provided assistance with Vakalatnama and other legal procedures, Mahto said.

He emphasised that the campaign would remain constitutional, democratic and peaceful, and that any form of violence, disruption or activity affecting law and order would have no connection with the movement.

"The main objective of the campaign is to strongly and democratically place the problems and demands of aspirants and the necessary reforms in the recruitment system before the government and concerned recruitment bodies," Mahto said.

The student leader claimed that the campaign had received support from aspirants and people across various districts of Jharkhand. He said the movement seeks to ensure that deserving candidates receive justice, recruitment processes remain transparent and there is no scope for corruption or irregularities. Mahto described the yatra as a mass campaign focused on the future, rights and dignity of Jharkhand's youth. (ANI)
