Indian Railways says cashless is the way to go

The Indian railways gives you a reason to go cashless as they have decided to withdraw service charges levied on ticket booking through debit/credit cards at Public Reservation System (PRS) counters.

This rule will be effective from June 1 onwards under which a passenger will not be charged Rs 30 which is usually levied on tickets booked through debit/credit cards online.

This move has been taken to encourage customers to go the cashless way. According to the Hindu, the Ministry of Railways has already issued circulars to general managers of all zonal railways informing the withdrawal of the service charge, official sources said.
