Earlier on June 6, Mallya turned up at a charity ball hosted by Virat Kohli at London for Justice and Care organisation. The entire team left the venue as they did not want to be seen socialising with him. Mallya fled India after he failed to clear bank loans worth estimated to be around Rs 9,000 crores. He is also wanted in cases related to foreign exchange violation and embezzlement.
