India achieves highest single day COVID vaccination mark; administers over 88 lakh doses

On Monday, India recorded the most significant single-day immunisation rate, with nearly 88.13 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses delivered in the past 24 hours.
Taking to Twitter, Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Health Minister, on Tuesday said, "India sets a new single-day record with 88 lakh #COVID19 vaccination doses. Yesterday will be remembered as the world's #LargestVaccineDrive. [India], congratulations". In India, COVID-19 immunisation coverage has likewise surpassed the 55-million level.

According to the provisional data, 55,47,30,609 vaccination doses have been provided during 62,12,108 sessions as of 7 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the Union Health Ministry. It went on to say that of the individuals affected since the start of the pandemic, 3,14,48,754 have already recovered from the virus, with 36,830 recovering in the previous 24 hours.
India's recovery rate is currently at 97.51 per cent, the highest since March 2020.
