IIMCAA Connections meet held in Kolkata, Guwahati
Synopsis
Health Secretary Saumitra Mohan received the IFFCO IIMCAA Award
West Bengal and North-East Chapters of the IIMC Alumni Association recently organised the 'Connections 2021' in Kolkata and Guwahati respectively.
In Kolkata, the association awarded the IFFCO IIMCAA Award for 'Public Service' to Dr Saumitra Mohan, Secretary for Health and Family Welfare with the West Bengal government.
Dr Mohan was tasked with COVID-19 management in West Bengal.
The association also felicitated Silver Jubilee (1995-96) batch alumni Prem Prakash, Madhu Paswan and Pramod Kumar in Kolkata.
At the IIMCAA North-East Chapter Meet in Guwahati, the Information Commissioner of Assam and chapter president Samudra Gupta Kashyap stressed upon professional education in Mass Communication with a focus on development.
The meeting, attended by several IIMC alumni from across the northeast region, was also addressed by Additional DCP-Guwahati Numal Mahatta and SSB Commandant Abhishek Anand among others.
