Himachal Pradesh: At least 34 injured after bus falls into gorge crashing into house in Chamba

The bus rolled down and reached near the houses below. No loss of life has been reported in the incident so far.

Shimla: At least thirty-four people were injured when a private bus met with an accident ploughing into a house in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district on Sunday.

An official said the bus driver lost control of the vehicle and ran into a house.

The 34 passengers traveling on the bus were injured and were rushed to the hospital of the medical faculty of Chamba, the official added.

The bus was on its way from Lilh to Chamba via Dharwala. When it reached near Sarei nullah, about three kilometers ahead of Karian, the driver lost control of the vehicle and the bus rolled down the road, a TOI report stated.

The bus rolled down and reached near the houses below. No loss of life has been reported in the incident so far.

Upon sighting the accident, passersby reached the spot and took the injured to the Chamba Medical College for treatment.

The administration reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations as soon as the information about the accident was learned.
