Synopsis

After two rioters of Padarayanpura in Bengaluru tested positive for COVID-19, former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy has said that the state government wants to infect his wife’s constituency Ramanagara with coronavirus

Bengaluru: Looks like former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy is fishing in troubled waters as two rioters of Padarayanpura, Bengaluru, lodged in Ramanagara jail tested positive for coronavirus.

Few days ago, hundreds of rioters from Padarayanpura in Bengaluru were arrested and housed at Ramangara central jail.

"

Former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy, whose wife Anitha Kumaraswamy represents this constituency Ramanagara, said, in Karnataka, 8 districts are coronavirus-free, and Ramangara was one among that. He wrote on his Twitter account, "Already 445 people have been infected in the state and 17 have have lost their lives. Only eight districts are infection-free. Ramangara was one among them. Now, the government has taken the decision to spread the virus in Ramanagara."

Immediately after the virus started scaling up, Ramanagara was sealed and former CM had installed a disinfectant tunnel at market places to facilitate farmers. The CM had earlier lauded Tamil Nadu’s effort in installing such a tunnel to disinfect the public.

Now that over 100 rioters are jailed in Ramangara and two of them have tested positive, the entire jail staff may have to  be subjected to test and quarantine.
