The official engagement of DK Shivakumar's daughter Aishwarya and late VG Siddartha's son Amartya will be held in a private ceremony at a reputed private hotel in Bengaluru on November 19. The event will be attended by only close family members.
Bengaluru: Aishwarya, the daughter of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President DK Shivakumar, is set to officially get engaged to Amartya Hegde, eldest son of late Coffee Day founder VG Siddhartha and the grandson of SM Krishna.
The official engagement will be held in a private ceremony at a reputed private hotel in Bengaluru on Thursday. The event will be attended by only close family members.
The rumoured alliance of Aishwarya and Amartya was confirmed in early April with a small ceremony at DK Shivakumar’s residence.
The proposal was discussed before VG Siddartha's death last year as well but at the time, however, back then Amartya wanted to wait.

The young couple have been focusing on their careers for some time now. While Amartya has been handling the Coffee Day business since his father's demise in July last year, Aishwarya manages Global Academy of Technology, an engineering college founded by DK Shivakumar.
It is also rumoured that the couple may tie the knot on Valentines day next year. Astrologers have reportedly given out 14 and 24 February 2021 as auspicious days for the couple to tie the knot.
