Dhaka attack plotter hiding in India, says Bangladesh

Synopsis

To jointly counter cross-border terror, an official from the Bangladeshi government revealed that they are ready to share a report of “missing youths” with India, which indicates that the mastermind behind the July 1 attack is hiding in West Bengal.

According to a report in the Times of India, Gawhar Rizvi, a senior foreign affairs advisor to Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina, mentioned about the “missing youths” report at a conference on regional cooperation on Thursday. He further said that the report would soon be shared with India to nab the hiding plotter.

Ever since IS operative Abu Al-Musa Al Bangali alias Musa  spilled the beans to investigators in Bengal, they have been on the lookout for  Md Suleiman who is a key JMB operative.

According to him, Sulaiman was his handler for the past two years and fled the country seven months before the attack. Investigators further said that “Musa met Suleiman in Malda, a bordering district. The two had earlier met six times between 2014 and 2015.”

Earlier this month, twenty people were killed in an attack in the Holey Artisery Bakery after seven gunmen stormed the cafe. An Indian student also lost her life in the attack.
