'Crusader' cop Anupama Shenoy's hyperbolic FB tirade hurting her cause?

Synopsis

The controversial resignation of deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Anupama Shenoy on Saturday which initially gained mass support has now turned into a messy war of words between Karnataka labour minister PT Parameshwara Naik.

Claiming to be fighting against corruption and injustice within the system, Shenoy had put in her papers in protest. However, since her dramatic resignation, the policewoman has been posting comments against Naik on social media.

In one of her Facebook status messages, she taunts the minister: “P.T. Parameshwar Naik, I have resigned now. When are you going to resign?”

The Kudligi (a town in the state's Ballari district) DSP had given Naik an 'ultimatum' to resign by 5 pm on Tuesday, warning him that failure to do so would result in her releasing an incriminating audio CD.  The deadline has long since passed but Anupama has not released anything yet.  Was it just an empty threat? Does Anupama really possess any material that can implicate the minister?

While Shenoy's resignation was her personal choice; her supporters, who have multiplied manifold in the last few days thanks to her social media outbursts, hope that she will pursue the matter relentlessly.

Many including her police force colleagues, however, believe that her fight would have carried greater weight if she had persisted by staying within the system.

Shenoy’s Facebook status gets updated multiple times in a day which includes comments and photos. And the posts get more melodramatic with each passing hour. However, she deletes them after a couple of minutes which is pretty odd.

Earlier today she had said, “If you kill me after I release the video, I’ll haunt you even after my death”.
