COVID-19: Karnataka MLAs plead with government to bring back their children from abroad

Synopsis

While Karnataka reported 10 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far, now MLAs express concern over their children struck abroad for the last few days

Bengaluru:

With deadly coronavirus looming large all over the world and India with over 126 cases so far, efforts are on to fight the infection expressing concern over growing number.

Now, Karnataka's forest minister and another MLA are worried about their children, who are stuck abroad.

While forest minister Anand Singh's daughter is stuck in Italy, MLA Jayamala's daughter is stuck in London.

Singh and Jayamala both have requested health minister B Sriramulu in the Legislative Assembly yesterday to help bring back their daughters from respective destinations.

Singh's daughter, studying in Italy, is stuck at Rome Airport from March 10 and the minister is worried about her. Jayamala's daughter is in London for higher studies and she is also stranded there.
