
New Delhi: Weeks after he was discharged, home minister Amit Shah was admitted to Delhi's AIIMS last night. The leader was earlier admitted to AIIMS for post COVID-19 care.
On August 2, the 55-year-old BJP leader had tested positive for coronavirus. On August 14, he had tweeted that he would be in home isolation for a few more days on the advice of his doctors.
"Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, is admitted at AIIMS, New Delhi for post-COVID care. He has recovered and is likely to be discharged in a short time," the AIIMS had said in a statement on August 30.
Meanwhile, India's COVID-19 case tally crossed the 47-lakh mark with a spike of 94,372 new cases and 1,114 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health, total case tally stands at 47,54,357 including 9,73,175 active cases, 37,02,596 cured/discharged/migrated and 78,586 deaths.
