Coronavirus: Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia hospitalised after developing fever

Synopsis

Manish Sisodia, deputy chief minister of Delhi, was hospitalised on Wednesday after developing fever. He earlier tested positive for coronavirus.  

New Delhi: On September 23, Delhi's deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was hospitalised after he developed fever. The Aam Aadmi Party leader has been admitted to the state-run LNJP Hospital.

48-year-old Sisodia tested positive for the coronavirus infection on September 14 and was in home isolation.

In a tweet on September 14, he said he had gone into self-isolation.

"Had got my COVID-19 test done after I had a mild fever. The report has come positive. I have gone into self-isolation. As of now, I have no fever or any other issue. I am fine. By your blessings, I will recover fully and return to work soon," he said in a tweet in Hindi.

Sisodia is the second minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government who has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

In June, health minister Jain had tested positive for COVID-19 and recovered.
