As per the sources, the high command wants him to be replaced by the Health Minister, TS Singhdeo.

In 2018, when the government was being formed it was decided to develop a system of rotational chief ministers where Baghel will have to relinquish his post after two-and-a-half years.
As per the reports, 15 more MLAs will be arriving in the next two days to discuss the leadership issue with the central leadership and party in-charge PL Punia.
The Congress wants Baghel to take up the organisational affairs to which he has not agreed so far.
As per the sources, these MLAs have not got an appointment so far from the party high command.

In Punjab, Capt Amarinder Singh was forced to resign after the state leadership mounting pressure on the central leadership. Days later, Captain Amarinder announced that he will be resigning from the party and said that he would do everything to defeat Navjot Singh Sidhu from wherever he contests in the assembly election that is due in the state early next year.
The Congress is today having to sort out issues in various state units, even as more and more senior leaders come out into the open claiming that they have been sidelined in the party.
The Group of 23 leaders, who had written to Sonia Gandhi seeking sweeping changes within the party structure last year, have once again rued the lack of leadership that is harming the party in the run-up to a series of elections next year.
