Bodies of two militants recovered from river in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora

The bodies of the militants were shifted to Gurez hospital for medical and legal formalities.  

Srinagar: Police said on September 6 that security forces have recovered two bodies of militants who drowned in a river in Bandipora of Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, the militants drowned while trying to cross the Line of Control (LoC).

The security forces also found AK-47 magazines, 115 AK-47 rounds, 17 pistol-9mm rounds, a hand grenade, a wireless set, four wrist watches, a pouch, a jacket and matrix sheets.

The officials said that from the documents recovered, one of them has been identified as Sameer Ahmad Dar, a resident of Dogripora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
