Despite accusations, BJP corporators back Khadse

In a show of support for embattled Maharashtra Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse, 15 BJP corporators from Jalgaon city today threatened to resign from the civic body if any action is taken against him, party sources said.

AAP has alleged that there were phone calls made to and from Khadse's number to Dawood Ibrahim's Karachi house while a land purchase by his family in Pune too is also under scanner.

BJP leaders from Jalgaon met the state BJP chief Raosaheb Danve here, ostensibly over district level party appointments.

However, the party sources said they wanted to express their solidarity with Khadse.

BJP MLC Smita Wagh who also hails from Jalgaon dismissed reports of Khadse possibly rebelling against the party leadership or Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
