Bengaluru: Water supply to be disrupted on September 12 and 13; all details

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) recently said that it intends to destroy the enormous water tanks seen at different locations across Bengaluru due to "irrelevance."

Residents in Bengaluru may suffer water supply disruptions on Sunday and Monday as emergency repair work to stop leaks in a 1750 mm transmission central pumping station begins.
Because the pumping station at TK Halli is operated by the Bangalore Water and Sewerage Board and is intended for Cauvery third stage regions, the disruption in water delivery would be felt most acutely in that area, per various media reports.

This time the areas to be affected in Bengaluru include Gandhinagar, Kumarapark cast, Vasanthanagar, high grounds, Sampangiramnagar, CKC Garden, KS Garden, Town Hall, Lalbagh road from 1st to 4th cross, Dharmaraya Swamy temple ward, Cubbonpete, Nagarthapete, Kumbarapete, Cottonpete, Chikpete, Bakshigarden, Bharathinagara, St Johns Road, Haines Road.

Pilianna Garden, Kushinagar, P&T colony, Muneshwara nagar DJ Halli, Pillannagarden, KG Halli, Nagawara, Sarnadha Nagar, Pillanna garden-1st, 2nd, and 3rd stage, New Bagalur, old Bagalur, Lingarajpura, Chamarajpet, and Bank Colony are also expected to be affected by the water problem in these two days.

These would be demolished shortly.

Every month, Bengaluru experiences water supply difficulties. According to a BWSSB news statement, the city had a water supply outage from 6 a.m. on August 31 to 2 a.m. on September 1, owing to maintenance work. On June 30 and July 1, some sections of Bengaluru experienced water supply disruptions. This occurred due to BWSSB maintenance work to patch a leak in one of their water pipelines.
