Bengaluru: Taps to run dry today; over 35 areas to be affected

Synopsis

As BWSSB will be taking pipeline related and maintenance work, the regular supply of water will be affected today (June 11). The water board in its release has stated that majority of areas in south Bengaluru will witness taps running dry

Bengaluru: At a time when there is irregular water supply despite several measures, the BWSSB has taken pipeline work to ensure city residents get regular water supply.

In this regard, pipeline work has been undertaken due to which over 35 areas will be impacted and water taps will run dry between 6 am and 6 pm on Thursday (June 11). Check whether your area falls into this category.

Most of the areas are in south Bengaluru and they are listed below. According to Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), water supply will be disrupted between 6 am and 6 pm in Jayanagar 4th ‘T’ Block, BHEL Layout, NAL Layout, HSR Layout, Bommanahalli, JP Nagar 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th stage, Puttenahalli, Jaraganahalli, Koramangala, Bellandur, Venkatapura, Jakkasandra, Teachers Colony, BTM layout -1st & 2nd Stage, Madivala, Venkateshwara Layout, Gurappapnaplaya, Bismilla Nagar, Suddagunte Palya ,Chunchaghatta Main Road, Bilekahalli, Arakere, Arakere Mico Layout, Dollars Colony, Kodichikkanahalli, Vijaya Bank Layout, RBI Layout, Konanakunte, Krishnappa Garden, Arasu Colony and surrounding areas.

Those residents, who are in urgent need of water, can reach the BWSSB office in their respective wards, contact local representatives for alternate arrangements.
