Asmia Khatoon’s body to reach India tomorrow

MBT leader Amjed Ullah Khan (Ex Corporator) has said that he would personally go to the Shamshabad International Airport to receive the dead body and oversee all burial arrangements.

According to Amjed, Namaz E Janaza will be performed by Peer-O-Murshid Hazrath Syed Dilawer Mia at the Masjid E Hazrath Syed Khundmeer,Chanchalguda at 9:00 AM and the burial would take place at the Dargah Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shahe Ibrahim, Kachiguda.

Asmia’ a 25-year-old Hyderabad resident, who was working as a domestic help in Saudi Arabi, died on 2 May 2016. The family received a call from a man who informed the Asima’s mother of her daughter’s demise.

On May 9, the External Affairs Ministry of India confirmed with Saudi officials and the hospital that she died of natural causes, but Asima's mother Ghousia Khatoon, still continues to allege that her daughter’s death was caused by harassment and torture at the hands of her employer. 

According to Ghousia, her daughter called some time back to tell her about the torture and urged that she be freed from the employer. Asima's few phone calls to her family in Hyderabad were filled with complaints of assault and inhumane treatment by her employers.

Asima’s death still remains a mystery.
