According to a report in Indiatoday, the patrolling started soon after Pakistan cleared its highway and airspace. Reports further suggest that Pakistan is gearing up for retaliation from India after the deadly attack on Uri.

Earlier it had also been reported that Pakistan had even cancelled air traffic and flights from Islamabad to Northern areas.

However, Pakistan air force claims that closing down of a major highway to practice landing of jets is a part of a routine training and has nothing to do with the heightened tension caused after its deadly attack on Uri’s army base
