LTC Scam: Show cause notice sent to Anil Sahni by party

Tainted Member of Rajya Sabha Anil Sahni has been handed over a show cause notice today by the JD (U). Sahni has been charge-sheeted by the CBI for forging tickets and claiming LTC.

The move comes after Chairman of Rajya Sabha Hamid Ansari allowed the CBI to prosecute Sahni.   

Sahni will have to explain his conduct before Sharad Yadav, who is a leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha within a week.

Sahni has so far denied the charges and refused to resign, terming as a “conspiracy against him”.

CBI had filed a charge-sheet against the JD(U) leader alleging that he, along with two other persons had used forged e-tickets and fake boarding passes to claim a sum of Rs 23.71 lakh as travel and dearness allowance reimbursement without undertaking the actual journey.
