BrahMos can now strike targets at 400 km

Synopsis

The missile test comes just weeks after reports  siggested that India could conduct 'multiple live tests' towards the end of November amid the standoff with China along the Line of Actual Control

India successfully test fired a land attack version of BramHos supersonic cruise missile from Andaman Nicobar Island. 

In a significant development, the strike range of BrahMos missile has now been enhanced to 400 km.

The successful test of the supersonic cruise missile was carried out at 10am

Last month, the Defence Research and Development Organisation had test-fired at least 10 missiles in just 35 days.
