Three more French-made Rafale fighter jets will land in India on January 28, which will give more impetus to India's air capability.
In a Twitter post, the Indian Air Force said, "The third batch of three Rafale aircraft landed at an IAF base a short while ago. They flew over 7000Km with in-flight refuelling. The aircraft got airborne earlier in the day from Istres AirBase in France."
India and France had signed government to government deal for the purchase of 36 readymade Rafale jets worth Rs 59,000 crore in 2016.
With this, India has received 11 jets in three phases. India formally inducted the first batch of five aircraft at Ambala Air Force Station on September 10 last year.
