BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari scoffed at the Trinamool Congress after one of its leaders said that “four Pakistan can be created if India's 30 percent Muslims unite.” Adhikari complained that the Trinamool is an anti-national party. With that, the BJP candidate from Nandigram slammed Mamata Banerjee brazen appeasement politics over the last 10 years.

Sheikh Alam, a Trinamool leader, said during a rally that four Pakistan can be created if India's 30 percent Muslims unite.

This comment has drawn major flak from the BJP, which sought to know if the ruling party in Bengal endorses such remarks.

The TMC, however, said that Sheikh Alam is not a member of the TMC, and the party doesn't support what he said.

Responding to a question from reporters, Suvendu Adhikari said, “Trinamool is an anti-national party. What Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said after the air strike, you look at the old record. The slogan of Bangladesh is being said in India.”

“In the last Lok Sabha vote, the Bangladeshi star campaigned for the TMC. Mamata didi said that these people are the wealth of the TMC. The Trinamool leader herself has said that there should be four capitals,” he added.
