Soundarya once turned down movie with superstar Mahesh Babu; Here's why

Mahesh Babu, son of superstar Krishna, started as a child artist and showed early signs of stardom. His debut as a solo hero was in the film Rajakumarudu.

Mahesh Babu, as the son of superstar Krishna, excelled as a child artist in many films. Even in his childhood, Mahesh Babu showed signs of being a star hero. Mahesh Babu was very active during shooting. The film 'Rajakumarudu' marked Mahesh Babu's entry as a solo hero. Preity Zinta and Mahesh acted together in this film, which was a super hit. 

Under the direction of Raghavendra Rao, Mahesh Babu was introduced to the industry as a solo hero. With his first film becoming a super hit, expectations for Mahesh's second film increased. Mahesh Babu's second movie was directed by YVS Chowdary. The title 'Yuvaraju' was finalized for this film. This movie needed two heroines. Sakshi Sivanand was finalized for one of the heroine roles. 

They were looking for a slightly more experienced heroine for the other heroine role. Initially, they thought Soundarya would be perfect. YVS Chowdary went to Soundarya and told her the story. Soundarya was also very excited as it was superstar Krishna's son's second film. She immediately said okay to this project. 

Yuvaraju

With this, YVS Chowdary started the test look shoot with both Mahesh and Soundarya. Soundarya didn't like it at all when she saw herself next to Mahesh in the test shoot. She felt that no matter how she looked, she didn't look like a heroine next to Mahesh. Soundarya said that Mahesh looked very slim and she looked like his older sister. Soundarya withdrew from the film 'Yuvaraju' saying that she wouldn't suit Mahesh as a heroine and it was better to be careful before any damage was done after acting. Soundarya was also 3 years older than Mahesh Babu.

After that, Simran came into this project. It seems that Soundarya herself recommended Simran's name. That's how the Mahesh and Soundarya combination missed out on a movie. Soundarya acted with superstar Krishna in films like 'Ammadongaa' and 'Number One'.
