As per the order, non-AC taxis will charge Rs 75first 4kms, will charge Rs 18km later; AC taxis to charge Rs 100first 4kms, to charge Rs 24km later.

As for those travelling with luggage, charges do not apply for baggage like suitcases, bedding etc upto 120 kg. However, it will cost Rs 7 for every 20 kg upwards of that number.

This revision comes after the Karnataka government earlier in January notified maximum and minimum prices for taxis operating under aggregators, based on the cost of the car and not whether it has air conditioning. This was done to prevent aggregators from demanding more than the maximum price, even during peak demand.
