Three days after he was hospitalised in Hyderabad with severe hypertension and exhaustion, superstar Rajinikanth has returned home in Chennai.

The actor, who was hospitalised with severe hypertension and exhaustion on December 25, has been advised complete bed rest for a week.

On December 3, Rajinikanth had announced that he will be launching his political party in January and that a formal announcement would come on December 31.

According to Apollo hospital doctors, Rajinikanth has to have minimal physical activity and must avoid stress. 

The actor has also been counselled to void any activity that increases the risk of contracting Coronavirus
