Owner of explosive-laden SUV parked outside Ambani residence found dead, Fadnavis seeks NIA probe

Mumbai Police officials said that the body of Mansukh Hiren, whose Scorpio Sports Utility Vehicle was found parked near Mukesh Ambani's residence Antilia with explosive gelatin inside it, allegedly ended his life by jumping into the Kalwa Creek. 

In a sensational twist in the case pertaining to the explosive-laden vehicle found near industrialist Mukesh Ambani residence, the owner of the vehicle has been found dead.Mumbai Police officials said that the body of Mansukh Hiren, whose Scorpio Sports Utility Vehicle was found parked near Mukesh Ambani's residence Antilia with explosive gelatin inside it, allegedly ended his life by jumping into the Kalwa Creek.Mumbai Police have registered a case of accidental death.Around 2.5 kg Gelatin was recovered from Mansukh's vehicle.

CCTV footage from near the Ambani residence showed the Scorpio being parked in the wee hours of the morning. After parking the SUV, the driver of the car left the spot an Innova car that was trailing the other vehicle.Mansukh had been missing since Thursday following which his family had registered a missing complaint.Thane Municipal Corporation personnel fished out Mansukh's body from the Creek.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has sought that the case probe be handed over to the National Investigation Agency.Raising the issue in the Maharashtra assembly, Fadnavis said there were too many coincidences that could not be ignored or brushed away.Citing an instance, Fadnavis said that the owner of the SUV lived in Thane and the police officer who first arrived outside the Ambani residence was from Thane and not the personnel from the local police station.
