India has reported 45,083 Covid cases and 460 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry.
India reported 45,083 new coronavirus cases on Sunday which took the nationwide tally to 32,695,030, while the death toll jumped to 437,370 with 509 daily fatalities, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family data.
The country saw a total of 35,840 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 3,18,88,642 with a total recovery rate of around 97.56%.
The active caseload stands at 3,68,558. Kerala recorded 31,265 Covid positive cases and 153 deaths yesterday.
According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data, 17,55,327 samples were tested on Saturday, while 51,86,42,929 samples have been tested up to August 28 for Covid-19.
Over 73.8 lakh have been inoculated so far under the national vaccination campaign.
