Toolkit case probe: Activist Disha Ravi gets bail

Climate Change activist Disha Ravi, who was produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in the Patiala House court by the Delhi Police upon the expiry of her one-day police custody, was granted bail in the Toolkit case.The Delhi Police had opposed Disha's bail on the grounds that she could tamper with the evidence. They also alleged that she had conspired with anti-India elements and pro-Khalistani organisations to defame the country and incite violence during the farmers' protest.

Delhi Police claimed that during interrogation, Disha shifted the blame to Jacob and Muluk, and hence y wanted to confront her with the other two accused.Disha, meanwhile, challenged the evidence in the possession of the Delhi Police and stated that she had no links with the Khalistan movement.

Disha contended that her involvement with the 'Toolkit' was limited to her climate and agriculture causes.Her lawyer submitted that the other two accused in the case, Nikita Jacob and Shantanu Muluk, were out on bail and assured that Disha will not leave Delhi.
