The Tokyo Olympics is done and dusted, as India celebrates its best performance to date, winning seven medals. Consequently, the Indian athletes need to be cheered for.
While every Indian is proud of its Olympic athletes, especially the medal winners, so is the Indian government. On the same note, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Indian athletes on Sunday, taking part in the Tokyo Olympics.
The pictures of the same were shared on social media, as Modi met gold medalist javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra.
Modi also met the wrestling contingent that won a couple of medals, silver (Ravi Kumar Dahiya) and bronze (Bajrang Punia).
Modi presented the Indian men's hockey team with an autographed hockey stick, as the side won the bronze medal, ending India's 41-year-long wait for a medal in the competition.
Shuttler PV Sindhu, who won the bronze this time, also interacted with Modi, while she also presented her twin Olympic medals to date.
