Odisha FC saw no respite to its woeful season, as it settled for a frustrating draw to Hyderabad FC in the Indian Super League 2020-21, at the Fotorda Stadium in Bengaluru, on Tuesday. The win saw Odisha stay at the rock bottom, while Hyderabad maintained its spot on fourth.
The opening half saw a couple of attacks for Hyderabad within the opening nine minutes. Halicharan Narzary put it ahead three minutes later, with his left foot, to the bottom-left from the centre, following an assist from Liston Colaco.
It was followed by ten more attempts, with three saves, while a couple of them came from Odisha goalkeeper, Arshdeep Singh. Also, Narzary's strike in the 37th minute saw him hitting the post, as no more goals occured in the half, with Hyderabad maintaining its lead at half-time.
The second half began with an attack from Hyderabad in the 47th minute. However, just three minutes later, Cole Alexander levelled it for Odisha, with his right foot, to the bottom-left, from outside the box, thanks to an assist from Diego Maurício.
Meanwhile, 15 more attacks ensued, including a save from Arshdeep. However, both the teams came up with a strong defensive display, thus not allowing any side to find the net's back. Both settled for a point each.
