ISL 2020-21: Cleiton Silva, Sunil Chhetri brace helps Bengaluru FC topple Mumbai City FC

This was Bengaluru FC's fifth win of the 2020-21 Indian Super League, as with seven draws and six losses each, it has risen to the sixth place. Mumbai City FC suffered its third loss of the season, while with ten wins and fours draws, it stays in the second place.

In what turned out to be an unexpected, yet thrilling encounter, former champion Bengaluru FC dumped Mumbai City FC 4-2 in the Indian Super League 2020-21, at the GMC Stadium in Goa, on Monday. With this win, Bengaluru has risen to the sixth place, while Mumbai City stays on second.

The first half began on a scoring note. Cleiton Silva put Bengaluru ahead in the opening minute with the first attack, through his right foot to the centre from a similar position, thanks to Udanta Singh's cross assist.Seven more attempts followed until the 19th minute, including twin saves from Mumbai goalkeeper, Amrinder Singh. Nonetheless, Silva doubled it the very next minute, with a header to the bottom-right from the centre, following a free-kick cross assist from Xisco Hernández.
