ISL 2020-21: Bipin Singh scores hat-trick as Mumbai City FC fires 6 past lacklustre Odisha FC

This was Mumbai City FC's 11th win if the Indian Super League 2020-21, while with four draws and loss each, it remains on the second spot. Meanwhile, Odisha FC suffered its 12th loss of the season, as with a win and six draws, it stays at rock bottom.

In what turned out to be utter destruction, Mumbai City FC decimated Odisha FC 6-1 during the 2020-21 Indian Super League at the GMC Stadium in Goa on Wednesday. With this win, both the sides are unchanged in their league positioning, placed at second and 11th, respectively.

It all began in the seventh minute when Ahmed Jahouh fouled Jerry Mawihmingthanga inside the box. Diego Maurício successfully converted the resulting penalty through his right foot to the centre to put Odisha ahead in the following minute.

It was in the 12th minute when the first attack from City saw Bartholomew Ogbeche scoring the equaliser, with his header to the bottom-right from the centre, thanks to Ahmed Jahouh's cross assist. Seven more attacks ensued until the 37th minute before Bipin Singh put City into the lead with his left foot to the bottom-right from the centre.

The next attempt in the 42nd minute saw Ogbeche score the third for Mumbai through another header in a similar manner as the first, while Cy Goddard scored the fourth in the following minute, with his left foot to the top-left from the centre. As a result, City comfortably led at half-time.

The second half began on another scoring note for City, as in the 46th minute, Bipin put in the fifth with his right foot to the top-right from the left flank, following Ogbeche's assist. It was followed by 13 more attempts until the 85th minute, as Odisha goalkeeper, Arshdeep Singh, came up with five saves, including a penalty.Nonetheless, the exact minute saw Bipin scoring his hat-trick and the sixth for City, with his right foot to the bottom-right, six yards from the box. The side came up with a couple of more attacks before the referee blew the full-time whistle to bring an end to the demolition.
