ATK Mohun Bagan came up with yet another frustrating performance, as it settled for a draw against FC Goa in the 2020-21 Indian Super League, at the Fatorda Stadium in Bengaluru, on Sunday. The draw made no changes to the two's position, who stayed on second and third, respectively.
The opening half saw an intense 15 attacks, with ATKMB's goalkeeper, Arindam Bhattacharya coming up with two of the three saves during this and Subhasish Bose's attempt coming off the crossbar. Nonetheless, the deadlock stayed at the half-time break.
The second half saw five more attempts until the 70th minute, including another save from Bhattacharya. Nevertheless, four minutes later, Edu García gave ATKMB the lead with his right foot to the top right from a free-kick.
A couple of more attacks ensued, including another save from Bhattacharya. However, Ishan Pandita managed to put one past the ATKMB keeper in the 83rd minute, as his left-footed strike to the bottom-right from the centre levelled it for the host.
There were seven more attempts made, including Manvir Singh's attempt hitting the crossbar, while Bhattacharya saved another. Nonetheless, no further goals came, as the teams split the honours at full-time.
