ISL 2020-21: All-round Roy Krishna allows ATK Mohun Bagan to complete season double over SC East Bengal

This was ATK Mohun Bagan's 12th win of the 2020-21 Indian Super League, as with three draws and losses each, it continues to dominate the top spot. Meanwhile, SC East Bengal suffered its seventh loss of the season, while with three wins and eight draws, it stays at ninth.

There seemed to be no stopping for ATK Mohun Bagan. It completed a season double in the derby against arch-rival SC East Bengal, with a 3-1 win during the Indian Super League 2020-21, at the Fatorda Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday. With this win, ATKMB continues to dominate the top spot, while SCEB lurks at ninth.
The opening half saw five attempts until the 10th minute. However, four minutes later, Roy Krishna put ATKMB ahead, with his right foot to the centre, six yards from the right flank, thanks to Tiri's through ball assist.

Three more attacks followed until the 38th minute, while a couple of minutes later, Tiri's own goal allowed SCEB to draw level. It was followed by three more attempts, including a save from SCEB goalkeeper Subrata Paul, as the half-time break kicked in.
The second half saw seven attacks until the 71st minute, including another save from Paul. Nonetheless, the exact minute saw David Williams restoring ATKMB's lead with his right foot to the bottom-right from the centre, following Krishna's assist.
Three more attempts were made by SCEB until the 86th minute, while a couple of minutes later, Javi Hernández scored the third and the eventual winner for ATKMB, through his header to the bottom-right from the centre, thanks to Krishna's assist again. While ATKMB came up with one final attempt in the 94th minute, it was saved by Paul, as the side secured the three points and season double over its arch-rival.
