West Bengal’s COVID-19 recovery rate nears 92%

The total COVID-19 caseload in the state of West Bengal continued to decrease on Tuesday (November 17) and the recovery rate increased, with the number of discharged persons also increasing steadily. At present, the recovery rate in the state is 92.02 percent. 

According to the State Health Bulletin, 52 people died due to COVID-19 in the state in a single day. Out of the 52 deaths, 13 are from Kolkata and 16 from North 24 Parganas. The total number of deaths in Bengal is 7,766.

According to the State Health Bulletin on Tuesday (November 17), 752 people were infected with COVID in a single day in Kolkata. So far, a total of 95,504 people was infected in Kolkata.

In a single day, 710 people were infected with COVID in North 24 Parganas. However, Kolkata again tops the list of COVID-19 cases. In a single day, 3,654 people were infected with COVID in Bengal.

According to the State Health Bulletin on Tuesday (November 17), a total of 27,111 active cases were reported in the state so far.

The recovery rate has increased in the month of November. At present, the recovery rate in the state is 92.02 percent. However, 4,388 people have recovered in the state in a single day. Therefore, the total number of recoveries in the state is 4,03,340.
