Prime Minister Narendra Modi always called Trinamool MP Saugat Roy 'Dada'. In the budget session on Wednesday (February 10), PM Modi mocked Saugata Roy. However, Modi thanked all the women MPs who were present in the parliament during the budget session.

Modi scoffed at Saugata Roy while addressing the debate on the President's speech in the Lok Sabha budget session. Modi said, “Dada gave a good speech. I thought, Dada, you've done a lot of practice for your speech. I thought you will speak well. But in your whole speech, you just raised the issue as to why me and my colleagues are frequently visiting Bengal.”

Trinamool MPs started a commotion inside the room after Modi mocked Saugata Roy. They raised the question, “Why are the BJP leaders only giving so much importance to Bengal even though there are votes in other states?”

Replying to TMC leaders’ question, Modi said, “It's an important state. That is why we are giving importance. You have left Bengal so far behind that we want to take Bengal forward.”

BJP MPs started shouting after Mahua's speech. But economist Kaushik Basu called Mahua's speech "the best" on Twitter. All in all, Mahua Moitra was in the news during the budget session of Parliament. Her aggressive' remarks have caused a stir in national politics.
